Twin Eagle Lake RV & Hideout - a diamond in the rough

The GPS brought us in the back way, which was way too narrow and rugged for pulling a 5th wheel. Have we been here before? Hm. Anyway I was routing us to avoid interstates. Sigh.

When we first pulled in, we were unimpressed. It looks like a massive expanse of gravel parking lot. I was wanting something more scenic. They originally had our spot up on the hill but that wasn't going to work; it was way too small for our rig. So I went in and talked to them and they switched us to a spot close to the cabins and the lake area.

The longer we are here the more we like it. True, the big expanse of gravel RV spots is a bit of a turn-off, but they have planted trees and you can tell they are really trying hard to build a nice park. In about 5 years, it will be great.

But in the meantime, we are enjoying full hookups, nice prices, nice wide roads and sites, and a lovely public seating area by the lake and cabins

Even though the property is still under development you can see the vision of the owners. They have a nice children's play area, volleyball, swimming pool and paddle boats.
